Partnering with VMAN and Ford Models, in Summer 2009 we offered our male viewers the chance to become the next face of men's fashion. The lucky winner Rico Nieves received a contract with Ford Models and was photographed by Nick Knight and styled by Simon Foxton for the cover of VMAN 16.

Nick Knight/Sissel Tolaas
In partnership with the scent artist Sissel Tolaas, SHOWstudio is launching a groundbreaking initiative to create a fragrance on the Internet. Based on a provocative concept, the scent will be created over the coming months, taking its inspiration from an unconventional theme and using Tolaas’ amazing ‘headspace’ technology.

Hussein Chalayan, Nick Knight
With his trademark eye for unconventional beauty, pioneering designer Hussein Chalayan shed new light on making up. Nick Knight's dramatic images formed the basis of a seductive interactive, where the face of contemporary maquillage was disclosed in vivid, painterly strokes.

Ross Phillips
Voice Box was a live audio installation created inside the SHOWstudio premises over the 2005-6 festive period by the SHOWstudio viewer base. The project asked viewers to make a voice or sound recording via telephone which was then ‘tied’ to the time it was submitted and repeated at that time each day from 23 December 2005—3 January 2006. This gradually produced a collaborative, time-based sound work.

Bjork/Nick Knight/Bernhard Willhelm
The release of a new Björk album can only mean two things: new musical territory, the likes of which the world has never experienced, and a cover image to match. 'Volta', Björk’s sixth studio album, was released on 7 May 2007 and its cover image, shot by Nick Knight, certainly was unlike anything we’ve ever seen! From April, we offered you a sneak peek in advance of the launch with a special download jigsaw: an opportunity, on completion, to possess your very own, giant Nick Knight/Björk/Bernhard Willhelm original.
The overall image was composed of 48 pieces, 34 of which have image content and 14 left blank. Each segment was given in random order, leaving viewers to piece the overall image together themselves. Only one piece could be downloaded on a single day but the next was waiting for you without skipping a segment, which meant if you missed a few days, the next piece would always be the next in the jigsaw chronology. You may have just about worked out the image puzzle by the time you bought the album!
