Viktor & Rolf
For their 'Monsieur' collection the conceptual Dutch designers focused on commerce with a well executed collection that focused on sartorial menswear. Appealing to the contemporary dandy, the collection offered classic, well cut garments with the usual Viktor & Rolf quirks. A bowler hat and pipe motif adorned ties, shirt collars and belts, and a leather ruffled shirt was a new take on a staple garment. Presented in the designer 's new Paris showroom the collection was being well received by eager buyers and press.
