Photographs Auction at Phillips de Pury

Nick’s iconic image of Devon Aoki dressed in Alexander McQueen will be going up for auction at Phillips de Pury & Company’s 'Photographs' sale this coming Saturday at 15:00. The 40 x 30" print was originally created for the 20th issue of Visionaire, guest edited by Rei Kawakubo and has become one of the most reproduced Visionaire images. More recently, it has been chosen as the prestigious cover image of Nick’s upcoming monograph, published by Harper Collins due for release in September. An original of the rare Comme des Garçons Visionaire, comprising loose plates and ephemera laid into an oversized trompe l’oeil fabric-print box, is also being offered for sale. Totalling 170 lots, Saturday's 'Photographs' sale will also feature works from an array of works from an international selection of iconic imagemakers including Irving Penn, Larry Clark, Paolo Roversi, Diane Arbus and Guy Bourdin.
Phillips de Pury & Company's Photographs sale will take place on Saturday 16 May at 15:00 at Howick Place, London SW1P 1BB.
I also recommend Mitch Epstein and Stephen Shore from this exhibition, at the estimate value they can only go up. Important and Iconic 20th Century images for scrap car money. Safer than money in the bank.
