For the seventh year running, Birds Eye View has just kicked off its internationally acclaimed film festival taking place appropriately during International Women’s Week. Showcasing the best features, documentaries and short films made by women around the world, Birds Eye View is a dynamic organisation determined to push the field. Case and point was last night's screening that explored the crossover between fashion, art and advertising - our most favorite subjects. Curated by fashion filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson, perhaps best know for her Dazed Digital commission starting Lady Gaga, and featuring new work by our very own Ruth Hogben,
Julie Verhoeven, KT Autela, and Quentin Jones. We thought the evening a total hit especially as the screening was followed by an industry panel discussion that excitedly debated the merits of art versus commerce - another topic we truly love. Thankfully the festival runs through 17 March so if you haven't headed over yet, there's still time.
