Nick Knight has been talking with the image-takers from SHOWstudio's Photography of Punk exhibition. This time music photographer Kevin Cummins was on the other end of the phone line to divulge the circumstances around his iconic image of Joy Division's Ian Curtis. The conversation spans from Cummin's choice of lens to taking a great cover shot and his process of building trust with the bands he photographed.
'I never thought I'd earn a living photographing people, I always thought I was too shy to even engage with them,' he explains.
