An interview with Jeffie Pike Durham

Following our recent interview with Amy De La Haye, the curator of Coco Chanel: A new Portrait by Marion Pike, Paris 1967-1971, Lou Stoppard talked to the the artist's daughter Jeffie Pike Durham for a further insight into this intimate collection of exhibits. Here, Pike Durham recalls her first meeting with Coco Chanel herself, and relives the process of sorting through her mother's amazing collection of the objects, letters and paintings. She also paints a picture of her mother's friendship with the legendary designer, 'there was a lot of laughter, which I think is always good for the creative process' she explains.
