Tony Hart, with Morph in A/W 2000 John Galliano

Following the death of children's broadcasting legend Tony Hart in January this year, we pay tribute to the man and his work in this short film, captured on set during a extraordinary editorial for the first issue of POP magazine. The brainchild of stylist Katie Grand and Camilla Morton - journalist, author and John Galliano's right-hand woman - Hart was invited to the set of Nick Knight's shoot celebrating the unique, ludique vision of Galliano's A/W 2000 collection. Inspired by the playground antics of children and outfitted with an arcane array of outré garments and a menagerie of cardboard animals, the joie de vivre of Galliano's collection is encapsulated to perfection by Hart, who takes the opportunity to display his own prowess and outfit his plasticine sidekick Morph with 2-D miniatures of Gallliano's creative finest. Crafted from Nick Knight's own archive footage, Hart to Heart is not only a record of a spectacular shoot (and an incredible moment in fashion history) but magically captures the joy and inspirational fire of a stellar team of British creative talents.
