Fashion is having a David Bowie moment - in fact, it's been having a Bowie moment for about three decades. Our latest, frocked-up with metallic Gareth Pugh, Giles' silvered leather and Balmain's diamanté-encrusted everything, celebrates the maximalism of Ziggy Stardust - although the sleek, chic androgyny of the equally influential Thin White Duke gets a look-in too. With Kate Moss covering Paris Vogue in a jumpsuit and Diamond Dogs coif (for the second time, that is: our own Nick Knight having first photographed Moss in Bowie drag back in 2003), it seemed time to examine his enduring appeal as the ultimate 'fashion hero' in our latest Behind The Seams article.
