Cerith Wyn Evans strikes again

Our last – almost full monty – sighting of Cerith Wyn Evans was some months back during Nick Knight's 100 Portraits shoot with i-D magazine during SHOWstudio’s Fashion Revolution. Running into the highly influential artist and film-maker last night was a different sort of display all together. His opening at White Cube, Everyone’s gone to the movies, now we’re alone at last…, was, in fact, dazzling. Between the throbbing of a “polyphonic sound mobile” built from a series of “audio spotlights” installed in the ground floor gallery and an impressive installation of light columns warming up the subterranean exhibition space, it’s clear that Wyn Evans art commands just as much attention as the artist does himself. Up through May 22nd in The Cube’s Mason Yard location, it’s worth experiencing for yourself.
