Assaulting the senses with a rush of colour, the Christian Dior Accessories press day was the perfect sartorial escape for a rainy November's day in London. High octane glamour and tropical fantasy - Dior's S/S 2011 South Pacific vibes transpired into an energetic and luxurious array of accessories. The nautical theme from the collection came through the intricate woven and braided use of rope, whilst bright printed sandals and bags echoed the exotic prints from the S/S 2011 collection. Shoes masqueraded as birds of paradise, heeled hybrids of an espadrille trimmed with feathers, meanwhile Dior classics such as the Lady Dior bag were infused with the pleasure isle featuring details such as fringing, tassling and tie-dye. It all exuded energy with shell heavy and raffia necklaces complementing the Dior getaway.
A saturated rainbow from tangerines to turquoises, a trip was beckoned into Galliano's adventures - and whilst Monsieur Dior himself looked on in a life-size image against the wall, this was one seductive fever for summer.
