Continuous coverage of the Mexican delegation

Rodrigo Plá is our next interviewee from the Mexican delegation present at the Marrakech International Film Festival. Rodrigo arrived on the scene as an emerging director when his feature La Zona was given the Venice Film Festival’s award for best debut feature in 2007. The film, which takes social issues in Mexican society one step further and reflects on a complex interplay of class differences and the loss of trust into the establishment, has ever since swept up awards around the world.

Rodrigo spoke to us about his new filmic project which is an adaption of a short story written by his wife and promises to live up to the high standards he set with his complex and beautiful debut.
