Our latest artist to provide coverage for couture season is Isareli-born Kukula!
Born in an isolated village about an hour north of Tel-Aviv, Kukula was raised amongst retirees, many of whom were holocaust survivors. This instilled within her a fascination with fantasy, underpinned with a darker aesthetic.
The subjects of her works are doll-like figurines, surrounded by objects of symbolic importance and seek inspiration from classical european art forms mixed with more contemporary elements.
Kukula will be providing illustrative coverage throughout the haute-couture season. Be sure to check all her works in our collections coverage and project page!
