What are clothes without a body inside them - or indeed, behind them. And when that body is The Body - a.k.a. original supermodel Elle Macpherson - it's retail dynamite.
This week, Macpherson flew into London to celebrate the tenth anniversary of her lingerie brand Elle Macpherson Intimates' presence in leading London department store Selfridges department store. The Elle Macpherson Intimates brand was launched in 1990 - and alongside the varied (and, truth be told, usually short-lived) novel-writing, single-releasing and restaurant-opening antics of her fellow, Macpherson's lingerie line has made her one of the most successful business women among her supermodel colleagues.
The party was co-hosted by comedian and fellow Aussie Tim Minchin who in his instantly recognisable style belted out a tune on a glossy Bösendorfer and sang Elle a song especially written for the celebration, amongst guests in the Elle Macpherson Intimates section of the lingerie department in Selfridges. You don't expect to get a side of piano with your pants, but it was certainly unique.
