In the run up to London Fashion Week, we invited two of the city's finest emerging talents to exclusively preview their collections through a range of reference materials here on SHOWstudio's newly designed collections feed.
Firstly came young Irish designer J.W.Anderson whose menswear line first brought his talent and keen eye for detail to the attention of the industry. Now, juggling both his eponymous menswear line and a new, highly lauded womenswear collection, Anderson has cemented his reputation as a consumate, seismic artist. Giving unprescendented access to his S/S13 womenswear line, Anderson sat for SHOWstudio and sketched his upcoming line, exploring the form, colour and emotion of his work. Next we approached fellow Irish designer Simone Rocha to give us an exclusive pre-show interview to discuss the finer points of her approach to fashion and how she begins working on each new collection. Alongside a revealing moodboard of her reference imagery, Rocha has proven to be a thoughtful, charasmatic designer which reflects her work and attention to craftesmanship. Both designers are indicative of what makes London a thrilling, fertile bed of design and who inform the seasons to come, here and abroad.
