Keeping up with the Joneses!

Throughout both Wednesday and Thursday of this week, my good self and a bevvy of SHOWstudio recording equipment decamped to the V&A to document the final stages of the preparatory work for Stephen Jones' upcoming no-holds-barred extravaganza of an exhibition - Hats: An Anthology. As if designing his eponymous line and umpteen designer collaborations wasn't enough, this season master milliner Stephen Jones has added another string to his bow: curation, working with the Victoria and Albert museum and Modern Textiles and Fashion curator Oriole Cullen to stage his ambitious show, opening on 24 February 2009.

The precise details of our project remain, as yet, under our hat (pardon the pun), but all will be revealed on Monday 23 February in line with the exhibition's grand opening. In the meantime, above is a sneaky still pulled from our filming earlier this week: Mr Jones himself shows some serious mettle with his heavyweight metal-studded creation for John Galliano's A/W 2001 'Tibetan Barbies' Dior haute couture collection, flanked by Nasir Mazhar's Swarovski-encrusted cube for Gareth Pugh and Dame Barbara Cartland's very own ostrich-plumed torque.

Stay tuned for more before the project launch...
