Lady Gaga's performance at The Brit Awards features sculpture by Nick Knight

Unveiled last night during Lady Gaga's truly iconic performance at the 30th anniversary of the Brit Awards, Nick Knight's incredible 3-D recreation of Lady Gaga in sculpture stood tall centre stage. The sculpture, which was captured and rendered by Kev Stenning at Rapido3D, is the second in a 'fashion sculpture' series after the giant Naomi statue which featured at SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution at Somerset House late last year. But this spectacular statue is just a taster of the grand designs in store for all those going to see the European leg of Gaga's Monster Ball tour (which kicks off this Friday), as Knight and Stenning have been working together to produce something even more fantastical.

she makes some of the most uninspired music in years and the way creative forces are working with her with no seconds thoughts really shows that a) there's been a financial crises and b) somebody will do what ever for money and remaining in spotlight
Lady Gaga's ambition is just about scale

ELECTROPOP is just a different form of creating music and with its very own audience just like all the different ramifications in music ... I like all genres of music and right or wrongly I appreciate each form of music for their individual talented artists who have their 'own' inspiring flow of ideas and convictions whatever they might be .... Music is so very personal that what an individual finds to be GREAT another may think is just NOTHING .... whatever makes an individual happy :) Like FASHION the music market is ruled by the HIGHLY potential selling power of the artist to satisfy his or her audience .... No artist today can escape that ! Madonna from a different era was no different to Lady Gaga in that respect .... She knew how to give a stage show, used all the paraphernalia fruitful to her, and didn't she loved to shock!!, she broke taboos and there lies another difference to Lady Gaga's disadvantage . Madonna did create great and beautiful songs but with the contrast that her life singing betrays the illusion that she can sing her euvre flawless and with mastery, without the recording technology it would had been rather difficult to pull it off back then ..... but she had a great and savvy nose for perfect marketing .... just a business lady with great STAGE SHOW talent in the business of making music....
Love her FROZEN song with the great music talent of WILLIAM ORBIT!

I love Madonna (as a modern female icon who can better her?) although her music can be very hit and miss - hits for me include the albums Ray of Light, Music, and Confessions. Everything else is pretty much a miss for me, thought admittedly of its time and I probably got up and danced to it badly.
Lady Gaga completely passed me by (I heard of her but so what). Until the Brits performance that is. Blew me away. She's a star and no doubt.

come on that brit-performance was so camp I can't believe it. That stupid guitar she got herself made (oh look she can press buttons) and why are everyone so impressed that she can play a piano and sing a capella-versions of her own songs?
It pisses me of that everyone is willing to collaborate with her. She is just Jenna Jameson with a piano.

Do you think that the phenomenon ' CAMP ' isn't part of modern 'culture'?
Of course one can understand that for people with a highly intellectual capacity such a cultural expression is something very INFERIOR, the more reason to despise it. I take the liberty to think that that is what you mean. While respecting your opinion on the matters of MUSIC one thing comes over really puzzling in your statements -why so much fury and anger if you do not like Lady Gaga's CAMP act ? ... It is not as if she is that important in modern POP culture or is she?
Yes very unfortunate that we can't DICTATE to other people what to do that would make the world far more pleasant and easy to help ENLIGHTEN their minds and tell them to make the 'RIGHT' choices when in comes to (camp) MODERN MUSIC and 'intellectual' taste ....
Never heard of Jenna Jameson as in MUSIC .... but we can take your word for it!
Do pardon me and no offence meant but there is an air in your tone of what is normally called 'pretentious' to think that we are the RIGHT ONES to advise Nick Knight on who he should collaborate with or be his client to engage in a project ?
PS: Don't blame the GUITAR .... it is just an ACT!

I only watched a bit of her performance and it was good. She is a real perfroming artist-I think she sees every aspect of stage craft as part of her act and part of her art, from costume, stage design, persona, singing, dance, music. I think one can't categorize her as only a singer or performer, her whole persona and act is part of her art. Dressing outrageously does have an advantage-do we know what she really looks like under all that makeup and wild hair? She might in reality enjoy a lot of privacy since not a lot of people could recognize her without makeup.

Nick has lost many peoples attention allready and of course, his idealism isn't the same as mine. I guess it's different fields.
    I don't think I'm the one who's pretentious
(and I'm not blaming the guitar, but the awefull I'm a freak - bitch, it's so embarresing I can't believe you don't feel it yourself)

Erik now we are TALKING! .... or let's say exchanging opinions... IDEALISM what a beautiful word and human quality .... but wait a minute we are talking about today's MUSIC and FASHION at a very 'sophisticated' level if there is such a thing ... when I say 'sophisticated' I mean ... the 'refined' and beautifully packaged end product ... how much space is there for the word 'IDEALISM' ? ... Having said that I wonder if it fair to put such a HEAVY WEIGHT on top of Mr Nick Knight who after all in my very personal opinion is just a hard working man in his speciality who cannot please the whole world ... it would be absolutely impossible! I always associate the word idealism with names like Muthammed Ganhdi to mention few ...
I can understand that you may feel dissappointed by Nick Knight's choices but lets be frank you surely realise that he is just using his skills and providing this FANTASTIC web site for everyone to express their opinion ABSOLUTELY FREELY! Thanks God he does not succumb to all the detraction he must read at his expenses! A wise man and very kind human being if you ask me ... His idealism as I see is to provide a PLATFORM for emerging artist next to well established PUBLIC FIGURES in ARTS and FASHION and he isn't PRETENTIOUS about it ... that is why I found your tone pretentious more often than not, I apologise for that if it helps:)
but this time around it was nice to see that people can discuss things without carelessly insulting each other ... which reminds me of the so called 'ex-viewers'
whoe were constantly insulting each other and offending FEMALE viewers, whose tacteless remarks were meant to BULLY others when what they read wasn't to their liking ... many if not all of those characters gave the impression of being terribly important people whose opinions weren't that enlightening ... I cannot find idealism to be that INSPIRING if people can communicate INTELLIGENTLY and with
a little bit of courtesy .... it costs absolutely NOTHING and in the end stimulates a
POSITIVE discussion ! ... I always belive it is not about QUANTITY but QUALITY !
I do undertsand what you mean about LADY GAGA but I don't think there is anything IDEALISTIC abut music today or FASHION for that matter ... It is all about commerce and aesthetics mostly. Lady GAGA is just a PRODUCT of our thinking
otherwise she could never manage to get people's attention ... I just like LADY GAGA because for a change she is not the IDEAL ... BODY PERFECT, she can sing
and she is lauhging at herself ... while we are all trying to philosophy and taking all far to serious ..... and the most beautiful thing is that she knows that ...
In the end we can discuus all about SHOW studio and the IDEALISM you are reffering to but firstly in my opinion it is an enterprise who si trying to juggle
with TODAY's REALITY of big CORPORATE monsters .... who can make or brake
and as far as I'm concerned SHOWstudio is a great JUGGLER in de CUT THRAT businnes of MUSIC and FASHION.......
Now I understand why you took it on the guitar .... but the text by GAGA but the 'I'm a freak - bitch' .... think hard about it .... there is more to that text than meets the eye ... there are ideologies still in this world where woman are treated like TRASH or consider a piece of a useless plastic bag ( as I heard from a SPIRITUAL adviser) Now if there is anything embarrasing in this world id to give so much RESPECT to ideologies who want woman to be ban from public display as if they were EMBARRASING FREAKS ... now that is something truly embarrassing that WE are ALL silent partners in such idelogical 'CRIMES'
    are SILENT PARTNERS
BTW TOR thank you indeed for the inspiration:)

Having said that I wonder if it is fair to put such a HEAVY WEIGHT on top of Mr. Nick Knight’s shoulders who after all, in my very personal opinion, is just a hard working man-artist in his chosen field who cannot please the whole wide world, it would be just impossible! But then again I always associate the word 'idealism' with names such as Mahatma Gandhi and less well known people as examples ...
I can understand that you may feel disappointed by Nick Knight's choices but let us be frank you surely realize that he is just using his skills and providing this FANTASTIC website for everyone who chose to express his/her opinion on the subjects treated and ABSOLUTELY FREELY and totally UNCENSORED, that to me is idealism in its own right. This time around it was nice to see that people can indeed discuss things without carelessly using meaningless insults as a tool ... which reminds me of some of the so called 'ex-viewers' you mentioned who often were constantly insulting others and at times without shame insulting FEMALE viewers and participating artists with tasteless remarks, busy bullying others when what they read wasn't to their PERSONAL liking and believes, the level of INTOLERANCE was perplexing when you think they considered themselves to be ‘intellectuals’ ... several of those ‘intelligent’ characters gave the impression of being terribly’ important people’ but whose opinions, arguably, weren't that logically enlightening ... I cannot find ‘idealism’ to be that INSPIRING if people cannot communicate INTELLIGENTLY and failing to profit from the ingredient we call ‘courtesy’ … it costs absolutely NOTHING and in the end stimulates a POSITIVE and REACH discussion! ... I believe it is not about QUANTITY but QUALITY with positive contribution!
I do understand what you mean about LADY GAGA but I don't think there is anything IDEALISTIC about MUSIC today, or FASHION for that matter ... It is all paramountly about commerce and today’s reigning aesthetics. Lady GAGA is just a PRODUCT of today’s state of affairs otherwise she would never had managed to get people's attention ... I just happened to like LADY GAGA because for a change she is not the IDEAL ... BODY PERFECT, she can TRULY sing and she is able to laugh at herself ... while we are all rather trying to philosophy in the wrong direction and taking her well put together show far to serious and Lady Gaga herself knows that.
We could endlessly discuss all about SHOWstudio’s choices and the ‘idealism’ fact but firstly, in my opinion, we are talking about an enterprise trying to juggle with today’s reality of the big corporate dragons who are obliterating so much, giants who can make or brake artists ... and as far as I'm concerned SHOWstudio has proven to be an excellent juggler in de cut-throat, merciless and treacherous business of music and fashion.......
Now I understand why you took it on the guitar.... but Lady Gaga’s text “ 'I'm a freak – bitch” if you think hard about it there is more to that than meets the eye read ... the ear ... there are ideologies lurching around in this world where woman are basically treated as absolute TRASH or considered a piece of a useless plastic bag ( as I heard from one of those believers) Now if there is anything something to feel embarrassed about in this world is to be flirting with, and pay so much RESPECT to ideologies that if given the opportunity and space they would want women to be ban from public ‘display’ as if litteraly they were EMBARRASING FREAKS !... now that is something truly to feel embarrassed about and that WE ALL are silent partners in such ideological CRIMES and SHAMELLES INTOLERANCE is sad. We should tacitly say NO to any rules and believes that are aimed to SUBJUGATE, CENSOR or VIOLATE our fellow human’s rights! Sadly POLITICIANS, PUBLIC FIGURES, PHILOSOPHERS, ARTIST, etc. have neglected to follow their ‘IDEALISM’ out of misguided ‘solidarity‘ if only to keep their ‘BEAUTIFUL’ virtual image intact, that ‘s the easy way and then IDEALISM ends up in the DUSTBIN of self-serving interests … there is nothing idealistically heroic about that!
Btw Tor thank you indeed for the inspiration …. you always make interesting points … it is a wonderful thing to be inspired and inspire … I’m pretty sure that Nick Knight will find it in the end all WORTHWHILE and I personally don’t think he has abandoned his idealism … he is far more intelligent than that. If you ask me … he is a master in the art of accommodating for the benefit of fellow humans to the best of his abilities.
Last and not least censoring a music text is in my opinion not the goal of an idealistic person but to prove it wrong with well based arguments is the most ‘idealistic’ way to go about it … I consider the FREEDOM OF SPEECH a great treasure we must ferociously guard and with humor …. it is all part of a Human Right ! ☺

Unbelievable! She's very talented and beautiful! Lady Gaga's performance is awesome.Well anyway, even though she has this admiration from the people, she also encounter so many issues in her career like the issue about her ex boyfriend. It looks like Stefani Germanotta should probably get a lawyer - although, since she goes by Lady Gaga, I don't think she'll need to run for pay day loans to pay for one. Her past boyfriend and producer, manager, whatever, Rob Fusari, is suing her, and the subject of the lawsuit is whether she owes him for helping to launch her career. If it's demonstrably provable he did, then perhaps she owes him a bit. If he wrote her songs, he's owed royalties - although I believe the ASCAP takes care of that. I question what's going to be the result of this bad romance.
