Continuing our Subjective series, Nick Knight spoke to Liberty Ross about walking the runway for Alexander Wang and why the catwalk makes her nervous.
Ross recalled appearing in Wang's S/S 2013 show, and discusses the differences between walking for a designer and being photographed for a shoot, 'there's definitely an art to bringing who you are out on the runway'. She also describes the chaos backstage during show-season, including stuffing her shoes with paper and being burned on the nose with a hair-iron, 'its really a circus' she said.
Other topics of conversation included the rise of fashion film and how actresses are treated with more respect than models, 'As a model you're really on your own… Often you're lucky if there's a robe!'
