Louise Goldin 'Research and Development' Episode

This week's Unravelled installment takes us back in time to December 2008, and the second stage of Louise Goldin's then-embryonic Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. As charted in our London fashion Week show report, Goldin's initial inspirations were zoomorphic architecture and the children's cartoon Transformers - but from this her imagination took flight, twisting and working these influences into intriguingly complex (but never confusing) fashion creations. Alongside this latest film, we have a gallery of reference images selected by Louise herself, the direct influence of which can undoubtedly be seen both in her sketches, and in her subsequent show at London Fashion Week.

The penultimate installment in our Unravelled series, this latest film features not only the first footage we shot in Louise studio during preparations for her latest collection, but also just a snippet of our initial interview with the designer herself, discussing the inspirations, themes and ideas behind a collection that was, as yet, still only in her mind.
