Mr Costin gets Crafty

Outlandsh it may seem, but given that Simon Costin is the founder of The Museum of British Folkore showcased in our Britannica project earlier this year, his towering, Romany-rose festooned headgear (with integral vignette and ear of wheat) is perfectly apt. Paired with a swirling redingote and Pearly King button-strewen waistcoat and you have a fitting Arts and Crafts ensemble for any portrait.
