Acclaimed fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben collaborates with stylist and LOVE editor-in-chief Katie Grand to create Cinq à Sept, a film exclusively featuring Giles Deacon's sophomore offering for the house of Emanuel Ungaro. Deacon's second collection - and his first Ungaro catwalk show - was inspired by the codes of the house of Ungaro, namely femininity, flirtation and sensuality. The French call it coquetterie, just one part of the age-old art of seduction.
Hogben's unique film captures the same sense of indescribable Parisian allure. Taking its title from the French synecdoche for a lovers' tryst (traditionally, from five to seven was the time a man spent with his mistress), Hogben animates Deacon's 'Feral Lace' into spellbinding motion, styled by Grand across the lithe bodies of five models, and unleashed on the streets of London town like wild animals on the prowl.
A strong, stunning and utterly uncompromising interpretation of contemporary sexuality.
