With this collection for S/S 2011 it was made immediately evident that Rag & Bone is a rapidly expanding brand. Just a couple of seasons ago when I interviewed the British design duo behind the label, they talked about their brand being based firmly around wardrobe staples, key items that remain timeless despite the endless cycle of fashion fads and trends. Well, this season, sure there were some great basics - the knitwear was a highlight - but the '90s backpacks, sporty Fifth Element-style bandage straps throughout and multihued prints proved that Rag & Bone has definitively moved into the realms of 'fashion', creating on-trend wares that won't necessarily blend into your existing wardrobe or remain long in vogue...
