On the Seventh Day of Christmas Nasir Mazhar gave to me...

Seven brass orb segments
On the seventh day of christmas we examine the spectacular brass orb, sported famously by Lady Gaga and created by young London milliner Nasir Mazhar.

Explaining the concept behind the piece, Mazhar says:
'The idea was to create something for the chosen one. That sacred person. Something religious but fantasy. That season [A/W 2009] I was looking into gods, warlords, spirits, alchemy, guards, leather work. The collection was presented in a candlelit church off Greek Street in Soho, with operatic religious chanting and characters from the collection curated around the church - almost as a royal religious ceremony.'

Could anything be more perfect for the christmas period - or indeed for Lady Gaga?
