Our rolling interview series Punk: On the Runway has reached its conclusion! Over the course of the last few months Lou Stoppard has rung up a host of industry leaders, including The Telegraph's Lisa Armstrong, Style.com's Nicole Phelps and Elle's Rebecca Lowthorpe, to chat about their favourite punk tributes on the runway.
Last to answer the phone was Port's fashion director David St John James. He waxed lyrical about two different collections from the same season, Junya Watanabe and Gareth Pugh from A/W 06. That same Watanabe collection was also selected by Phelps as her top punk fashion moment. Why was punk spirit so prevalent that season? Was there a rebellious mood in the air? Check out St John James' audio to learn more.
