'Read Aloud'
An Installation at the National Media Museum

The latest installation by former SHOWstudio Creative Director Ross Phillips has recently unveiled at the National Media Museum in Bradford, UK.

'Read Aloud' is a playful project weaving together the best of the Web — candid video, public collaboration, and open source literature.  A kiosk set up in the Museum, it invites the public to take turns reading aloud a line of prose from cherished tomes such as Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Raven.

For a generation that increasingly trends toward reading online and for those that haven't,Read Aloud” marries the visceral, oral tradition of storytelling with social media and the web, appealing to readers both young and old, online and off

The installation runs through February 2013, and the completed, recorded efforts for each book can be found online at http://www.readaloud.info/
