SHOWstudio headed to Italy this weekend to take part in the International Talent Support 2013 event in Trieste. In its 12th year, ITS creates a unique platform for emerging talents from the fields of fashion, accessories and jewelry, who will together submit 30 projects, 10 for each area, to a judging panel composed of experts of fashion and costume history. Competing for cash prizes, the 10 fashion finalists have flown in from 8 different countries, and are judged by a panel including Diesel's Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti, BoF's Imran Amed, Vogue Italia's Senior Editor Sara Maino and Curator-In-Charge of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum New York, Harold Koda. Representing the ever growing importance of fashion in film, SHOWstudio's Marie Schuller joins this extraordinary panel, who collectively will give out cash awards worth € 48,000.
Past finalists of ITS included Mark Fast, Peter Pilotto, Aitor Throup, Michael Van der Ham and Astrid Anderson so we can't wait to see this year's emerging talents and designs on show. We will keep you in the loop all weekend so check back to see what's on show.
