SHOWstudio attends the Europeana International Fashion Conference in Florence
discussing modern fashion amongst ancient art

Today saw the launch of the Europeana International Fashion Conference in Florence and SHOWstudio has been invited to speak on a panel discussing new media in fashion on 18 April. Marie Schuller will join Diane Pernet from ASVOFF, Gabriele Monti from the IUAV University in Venice, Anja Cronberg, editor of ACNE Paper, designer Fabio Quaranta, and Geer Oskam from the Europeana Foundation to talk about new possibilities in communicating fashion after the digital revolution. The panel will be chaired by Marco Pecorari and will be set in a beautiful ancient refectory of a former Benedictine monastery, the Cenacolo di Sant'Apollonia. The venue is home of Andrea del Castagno's masterful Last Supper, amongst other frescos by the artist.

Discussing the changing face of fashion amidst truly inspiring art from the mid 15th Century is set to be a wonderful experience. We will blog tomorrow with updates of the event in beautiful Florence.
