As an addition to our SHOWstudio Shop Inside/Out exhibition, the Norwegian artist Sissel Tolaas has contributed an edition of extraordinary paint. In 2005, Sissel Tolaas started a research project which reproduced sweat molecules into micro units that could only be activated again by touch. These microencapsulated sweat smells were integrated into a transparent, smell-neutral binder. Walls were then 'painted' with this solution, and only touching the wall releases the sweat smell. Available to scratch and sniff in our Bruton Place gallery and also to buy via our Shop site, the groundbreaking concept is one that should not be missed.
