As fashion tides turn towards all things digital thanks to the rise of blogs, Twitter and e-commerce, SHOWstudio assesses the continued success of printed mediums. Book Club will consist of regular live-streamed panel discussions between key fashion voices, who will dissect and debate the industry's most exciting new releases.
Our first broadcast will feature Vogue On authors Judith Watt, Bronwyn Cosgrave, Chloe Fox and Charlotte Sinclair in live discussion with Lou Stoppard. The Vogue On series is a set of short books commissioned by Vogue to celebrate the defining fashion designers of the last century. The first four books in the series discuss the significance of Elsa Schiaparelli (Watt), Coco Chanel (Cosgrave), Christian Dior (Sinclair) and Alexander McQueen (Fox) and draw extensively on the Vogue archive. The four authors will discuss the process behind writing about fashion, alongside the influence of the work of their featured designer in this stimulating literary chat. Tune in from 12:00 GMT on Monday 19 November to see the authors in action.
Monday is turning out to be a Vogue themed day! Don't forget we'll also be streaming an In Fashion interview with Alexandra Shulman herself later in the day from 14:30 GMT.
