Diane Pernet was just in touch with me to keep SHOWstudio viewers updated on two important fashion film competitions. Running in association with A Shaded View, “You Wear It Well” is now in its second year, following a prestigious inauguration in 2006 which saw screenings in Los Angeles, Copenhagen and the Bilbao Guggenheim. Submissions this year must continue to be ‘oriented around the issues of fashion, style and / or beauty’ and, like last year, they should last between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in length. To coincide with the launch of IQONS, however, Dinco and Pernet are introducing another competition as an offshoot to the original, “You Wear it Well/Got a Minute?”. Films should be just as inspirational but must stay within the 60 second timeframe. Diane’s waiting for your entries.
