Mabille made a confident menswear debut and introduced a wider audience to his Parisian values.
Alexis Mabille presented his first solo menswear collection and kicked off the Paris shows. Showcasing his line in Angelina, Coco Chanel's favourite cafe, the designer created the idealist dandy wardrobe by referencing couture classics including tuxedos, brocade fabrics and spotted scarves reworked with a youthfull energy and contemporary twist. Cardigans, white shirts and his signature bow ties were all employed to create a collection that was witty, preppy and charming. Decorative embroidered trainers contrasted effectively against the couture references as Mabille made a confident menswear debut and introduced a wider audience to his Parisian values.
