Ann Demeulemeester consistently produces romantic clothes that appear as is they have been made with exquisite care and consideration. This season the designer sliced open waistcoats and jackets to create geometric shapes that fell off the fragile models. A palette of signature gothic black was contrasted with splashes of red, orange and yellow. Layered tailored jackets used sharp shoulders which kept the silhouette lean, while fringed hair pieces adorned the models hair pieces. The designer's approach is always secured through an acute sensitivity towards fabric and this collection adhered to the romantic and refined vision. The audience applauded energetically as the final looks disappeared into the darkness, securing another glorious collection for Demeulemeester.
