Stephanie Lacava reports on the Ann Demeulemeester show
Anne Demeulemeester's dresses left floating fabric in their wake, streaming from beneath the model's arms, and hems swept the floor through the darkened Couvent des Cordeliers.
Is there such thing as modern-medieval? There seems to be this season. Anne Demeulemeester's dresses left floating fabric in their wake, streaming from beneath the model's arms, and hems swept the floor through the darkened Couvent des Cordeliers. All that black and white with rich purple and shots of silver lent an old school supernatural feel. Demeulemeester's black leather belts looked cool as thick waist cinchers, even better as multi buckle harnesses or breastplates, some worn with every strap undone.
