Tisci's mens collections have developed successfully at Givenchy, moving on from the gothic aesthetic that defined his earlier work, to becoming inherently contemporary.
Hosted in the grand settings of Hotel Intercontinental, and packed to the chandleries, Ricardo Tisci produced an adrenalin-fuelled thrilling collection. In a palette of black, white and with an extraordinary injection of leopard print, Tisci took his audience on a journey of dark glamour fused with a tribal edge. Sharp slim tailoring was the key message from the beginning as precise knee length shorts were styled with embellished white shirting. A subtle white devore leopard print on shirting developed into a celebration of leopard on suiting, and was inter-changed with plain black and white garments. Tribal jewelery and gimp masks added to the drama of the presentation and provided a tougher edge to the refined tailoring. Tisci's collections are always tightly formed around a strong theme and this provides a clear and confident direction for the clothes. A directional and exciting proposal from Tisci, that will easily migrate into next summers key collections.
