Middle Eastern references abounded, most notably in the burka-like sheaths, Afghan scarves, filigree bustiers, opulent gold detailing and AK47 medallions that played on ideas of Middle Eastern luxury, excess and violence – it was definitely a tongue-in-cheek take on some serious issues, and a little darker than we’ve come to expect from the good-time loving Jeremy Scott.
