Entitled 'Hidden' Juun J's collection used zips as a central motif. Skimming jacket lapels, tails on sweeping coats and even platforms on cyber trainers, zips framed a dark gothic tale for next season. Shoe designer Kim Kiroic created the high-tech sneakers that prescribed a futuristic vision. Deconstructed tailoring ideas included double lapel jackets and sweat shirt hooded tops that morphed into coats. Multi pocketed outer wear focused on function and utility belts were strapped over jackets. The skinny bottom and top heavy silhouette is well recognised in this gothic genre of menswear and Juun J contributes respectively to this popular aesthetic. A collaboration with London based Ground Zero involved stud prints on down coats resulting in a successful finale and ultimately the most exciting pieces of the collection.
