Juun J's collection was an example of a designer that wants to communicate their skills in technique and construction. Since 2007, the designer has showed his own collection in Paris and it is still early days in defining a distinct aesthetic, as each season offers a new look. With constructed and de-constructed tailoring as a central theme, Juun J sent out a complex collection of experimental tailoring. The jaunty over-sized berets distracted from some clever cutting on suiting and directional silhouettes. Shearling, leather, checks and plaids, chunky knits, pin stripes and quilted puffa jackets all adhered to the current atmosphere in menswear. The designer could perhaps stand back from the acute detail of the collections and hone in on a stronger single vision. Accomplished and with an acute attention to detail, Juun J's collections consistently move forward as the designer refines his singular vision.
