The collection despite being focused on the suit was more casual and relaxed than smart.
A restraint and well judged collection by Kris Van Assche who presented a collection that focused on new ideas around the suit. The designer approached the concept of fusing an urban casual wardrobe with a formal garment. The result included suits with sporty details worn with knit wear in slouchy shapes. Volume came in fold over collars and over sized cardigans. The collection despite being focused on the suit was more casual and relaxed than smart. Van Assche's design hand writing is most successful when he relies on his ability to strip down his aesthetic and define modern silhouettes. The season also sees Van Assche debut his new collection of bags designed in collaboration with Eastpak.
