Omar Kashoura titled his autumn/ winter collection, ‘Click Brigade’ as the designer was informed by Military clothing and ideals, “The feeling of binding together with a sense of efficiency and relevance, amalgamated with the feeling of a large body of people, the sense of a group of individuals coming together to reach a common goal.”

Kashoura noted inspiration from Visconti’s ‘The Dammed’ released in 1969, which depicts the story of life in World War I Germany. Military uniforms became the clear stimuli and the concept of elegant clothing for a modern wardrobe was hugely successful. Clean sharp lines focused on a relaxed and refined elegance that was pared down and devoid of unnecessary detailing.

Luxurious fabrics included merino wools and silk in knitwear and over dyed Italian jerseys. Linear tailoring in oatmeal wool, and soft grey suiting was regimental and appropriate for the current mood in modern menswear.

Rooted in a luxurious approach to wearable, staple pieces in soft shades of oatmeal, grey and green were sublime. The regimental collection included

Sergeant style trousers, double-breasted tailored jackets, camouflage prints made up of toy soldiers, denim style slim fitting trousers and shirts with removable collars.

The military story was delivered via preppy clean-cut models that marched precisely around the periphery of the salon presentation. A well judged and executed collection by Omar Kashoura.
