Making his debut on the Paris catwalk schedule, London-based designer Roland Mouret presented a well-executed and super-refined collection. A loose trousers shape defined the show that focused on a high waistline and close fitting torso.
Belted safari jackets, sleeveless knits and double breasted blazers were utilised in neutrals and refreshed with brighter accents. A reference to the seventies was subtle as Mouret focused on the wearable. The designer's low-key approach to luxury was notable for his first outing and will no doubt develop in future seasons.
