As the moustached models jostled on the on the runway, classic Yohji, ankle-length knitted coats, military coats and boiler suits with tromp l’oeil suiting showcased the designers cutting expertise and over-sized shapes
Kilts made a statement courtesy of Yohji Yamamoto to the wail of bagpipes, as the designer set his sight on a Scottish Highlands occasion. Models sporting faux beards and other facial hair topiary sported Yamamoto's take on the kilt with signature ties, hats and long flowing woollens.

Double-breasted jackets with an Edwardian elegance gave the proceeding a revitalising flamboyancy.
German photographer August Sander was the inspiration for Yamamoto’s collection and the offering was confident and refreshingly optimistic.
