The austere and pared down monochromatic collection, was a move forwards for Pilati.
Stefano Pilati looked to Sixties London and Mod style for his new Autumn/Winter collection. The result involved clinical slim trousers and fitted jackets with skinny lapels. Outerwear was cut more generously and contrasted with the fitted silhouette underneath. The austere and pared down monochromatic collection, was a move forwards for Pilati whose previous focus on fluid and draped tailoring was a more feminine approach. This youthful outing was successful in its clarity of meaning and perhaps more marketable for YSL.
