0044 is a fashion label based in Paris. Conceived by its artistic director Seiichrio Shimamura in 1998, 0044 opened its first shop in 2001 at 59 rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud - recognised as the “boutique rouge” thanks to its predominantly red décor. The colour red is an integral part of the label’s design philosophy which it calls ‘Revolutionary Romanticism”; motifs of skulls and French heritage are also key components of the collections that are designed and manufactured in France. In 2005, 0044 opened its second flagship boutique in Paris. In 2008 Shimaura and 0044 were selected as Créateur Paris Capitale de la Création 2008 for Tranoï - this year also marking the label’s 10 year anniversary.
