Alexandre Farto is a Portuguese street artist who lives and works in both London and Lisbon. Known also by the 'tag' Vhils, he has been creating art since the age of 13. He grew up in Spain and came to London in 2007 to study at Central Saint Martins.
Farto's work includes collaborating on the Akademia Europeia de Hip Hop project created by the Khapaz Association in collaboration with the Lacos de Rua, Freestylaz and Encontros associations. He is also the co-ordinator and promoter of the workshop and wall painting included in the Urban Requalification project of the Alagoas District.
Farto has exhibited in a number of shows in and around Spain and Lisbon.
