Alison Bancroft is a writer and cultural critic, specialising in interdisciplinary approaches to modern culture and media. Her interests include visual culture and theory, psychoanalytic thought, cultural life and sexualities. She has published and spoken widely on her current interest, psychoanalysis and fashion. She was awarded a PhD by the University of London in 2010, and her book Fashion and Psychoanalysis was published by I.B. Tauris in 2012.
