Amanda Lepore is an American transgender model, singer and performance artist. As an effervescent fixture on the New York scene, Amanda Lepore has been at the cutting edge of culture since the club kid era, breaking and remaking the rules for music, marketing, and gender.

A dominatrix and a regular member of Michael Alig’s clubland circus at nightclub Limelight’s weekly Disco 2000 in the early nineties, Lepore went on to work at Patricia Field’s makeup counter. She has modelled for brand campaigns including Absolut, Heatherette, M.A.C., Swatch, Smart Car, Perrier, Pop Water and Sergio K. In 2006 Jason Wu did three versions of a limited edition Amanda Lepore doll, which represented her in plastic.

Outside of fashion and modelling, she has also released her own limited edition fragrance by Artware Editions, and also stepping into the world of music with her album I…Amanda Lepore (2011).

In April 2017, Lepore released her acclaimed memoir/coffee table pictorial Doll Parts, published by Regan Arts, featuring exclusive photos and imagery chronicling her life and career.
