Founded by tailor John Emary in 1851 who went on to produce the first waterproof wool in 1853, Aquascutum is a British fashion house famed for its classic trench coats and sophisticated tailoring. In 2008, the brand was bought by British retail investor Harold Tillman and Jaeger chief executive Belinda Earl with Central St Martins graduate Joanna Sykes appointed in 2010 as design director.
