Ayaka Nomura

Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1987, Ayaka Nomura is a ceramic artist and assistant at Noritaka Tatehana, a fashion brand in Tokyo. She began studying ceramic art at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008, graduating with a Master's degree from the Ceramics Department in 2014. While assisting Tatehana's shoe making, Nomura manages her own work as a potter, incorporating a historical technique using porcelain clay. Much of her work is based on the philosophy of reincarnation or the endless cycle of life and death. Her ceramics have been exhibited in Tokya, Milan and Tuscany.
