Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke, born in Brazil and Nottingham respectively, came together to form their eponymous fashion label after meeting in 2002. Two years later the pair were named winners of the inaugural Fashion Fringe award and immediately caught the attention of Massimo Ferretti, president of Aeffe, with whom they are signed.
Since 2005 Basso and Brooke have shown collections at London Fashion Week as well as in Moscow, Sao Paulo, Singapore and Shanghai. The designers are renowned for their pioneering use of digital printing in textiles and are the first designers to employ this technique in all of their work. In 2006 Basso and Brooke were the recipients of the Best New Designer Award at the Elle Style Awards and the finale piece of their A/W 2005 collection is featured in a permanent exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Their work has been featured in the likes of Pop, i-D, Dazed & Confused, Self Service, Vogue Italia and the duo have guest edited .CENT magazine. Stockists include Harrods, 10 Corso Como Milan, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong, Podium in Moscow, Forty Five Ten in Dallas.
