Gaby Aghion started Chloé in 1952 with a vision of “luxury prêt-à-porter.” Her focus on wearable yet beautiful daywear found fervour among the young women of Paris. In the 1970s,  Chloé 's bohemian, feminine details made it a favourite of icons like Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, and Jackie O. Chloé is known for launching the careers of several young designers, including a 28-year-old Karl Lagerfeld in 1966 and a 26-year-old Stella McCartney in 1997. Since 2011, Chloé has been designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller.
