Christopher Kane is a Scottish fashion designer who lives and works in London. Kane studied both BA and MA at Central Saint Martins, with his 2006 MA graduation collection receiving the Harrods Design Award, a showcase in the department store windows and instant commercial acclaim.

Kane showed his first collection as part of London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2007 and has since developed his design signatures–complex construction and a dedication to luxurious finishings–whether his collections feature neon elastic bandage-dresses, punched-leather lace, or pastel gingham. Kane founded his label with his sister, Tammy Kane, herself a textiles graduate.

Christopher Kane has won numerous accolades for his work, including the British Fashion Council's New Designer of the Year award in 2007 and Collection of the Year in 2009. Apart from running his eponymous line, Kane designed the Versus label for Versace from 2009 to 2012.

Kane showcased his first collection of menswear in Paris in 2011. In 2013, he sold a 51% stake in the company to the Kering luxury group (then known as PPR), buying that stake back again in June 2018.
